Hi Alex,

I suppose a literal string's length can be measured by taking each fiber that makes up the whole and lay them end to end.

Maybe Simon's one liner could be taken to mean, he would have to take all of Bad Company's music, lay it out, to answer the question of what was his favorite song. They did have some great progressive rock in the 70's and 80's.

But if a string is a person's life, then each fiber of experience that makes up that life , you would have to say, is immeasurable unless combined to make the whole.

I know you must have heard a lot of one liners while at your NSA convention and this one was surely thought provoking.
